The Location

        

STAXTON VALE provides an ideal base from which to explore the beautiful surroundings that Yorkshire has to offer. There are over 100 Yorkshire tourist board recognised attractions and places to visit within 25 miles & if you don't want to drive there is a bus stop just across the road.

Whether it is visiting the east coast seaside resorts such as Scarborough, Bridlington, Filey or Whitby, the historic city of York, the splendour of Castle Howard, walks on the north Yorkshire moors, exploring  Dalby forest, or taking in the magnificent surroundings of the Yorkshire Dales, everything is close at hand.

The park is located at the vale of Staxton just off the A64  approx 3 miles outside of the picturesque east coast seaside town of Scarborough.

Golf

There are also many surrounding golf courses, Scarborough North Cliff and South Cliff, Filey, Ganton, Bridlington, Malton, Fulford and Flamborough,  plus many more excellent 18 hole golf clubs are all close to hand.

 The Yorkshire Dales

Dalby Forest

Dalby Forest is situated on the southern slopes of the North York Moors National Park. The southern part of the forest is divided by a number of valleys creating a 'Rigg and Dale' landscape whilst to the north the forest sits on the upland plateau.
